    Sample H

Our world has become so technology based that most people don't know how to take care of themselves anymore. Everyone loves new toys and electronics, but the laziness of Americans just keeps increasing. Going from a world where we had to kill to get food, play instruments to make music, and write on rocks to express our feelings, to the one we live in today. It has made us unaware of how good and bad we have it. We don't appreciate anything we have anymore. We don't know what it is like to earn what we have to survive in this world. All we need is a little green paper and we can get what we want without lifting a finger.
Yes, these toys and electronic devices are fun, they make things simpler and easier, but it does not change what we came from. That is what people don't think about. We came from a world different from this, and people take for granted what they have. They always look for bigger and better, and more expensive. Although, more expensive does not make objects last longer.
People in American society need to put the materialistic concept aside and start realizing what they have, and how lucky they are. Way back when, we didn't have the things we have today. Therefore, we should appreciate everything we own and use, but should not let that lazy attitude take over, because one day, it could all be history.

    Sample G

It gives you wings, why? American society represented in an energy drink can be misconstrued. American society is not what it looks like. We are actually a very poor country deep down, and our statistical rates go down every year. We spend more money than we make, which is the cause of downhill struggles throughout the society.
Red bull is extremely bad for you. It should never be promoted as a healthy substitute for a sugar rush to the brain. Its chemical content destroys your insides, while you take every sip.
If the people of American society are searching for a quick and easy way to gain energy throughout their day, they should think about their lifestyle. They should get more sleep, take vitamins and herbal supplements, and watch how they eat. These steps would give any person the energy desired, that they will never get from a product such as Red Bull. Not only, but that energy from the Red Bull evaporates extremely quickly, were you begin to go downhill, and your bodily functions get confused. Certain body parts start working at the wrong times, and not working at the right.

Why we write the way we do...

Most academic paper's are set with a standard. It is what we were taught when we were younger. That specific font, that bland white paper, and that formal heading on the top. I'v honestly always wondered what would happen with one of my grades, if i decided to go out of the box. Maybe with a fun font the express how i feel or what i am talking about in my essay. Maybe a colored paper, that could be vibrant and interesting. And what if there was no heading...just my first name sitting on the top, would it offend my teachers? I always wonder, but i never get the courage to try. Maybe i should...

    What i would do!

If I were to present my argument in a single manner, I would write a book. I would write a book explaining my story and send it out to high schools all around the country. I would also try and make it a requirement for high schools students to read it and try and see from another point of view of a young adult that was once in their shoes. If I build up enough confidence I would most likely make speeches at high schools as well. Telling my story in not just words but by showing emotion. If I wanted to go even further, I could make a short film, or reenactment for them to watch. Really placing them in my shoes, and the shoes of other kids around the world. As I stated in my article, over 4000 teenagers are involved in fatal car accidents, and out of 10 percent of teenagers in the country, they cause 12 percent of fatal car accidents.

    Inkshedding

"Winters isn't sure that Mischel's marshmallow task could be replicated today" Winter's is not sure that this experiment could be replicated today because a child's self control has changed dramatically over the last decade. Our society has changed into an "instant gratification" type of society. The technology of today is substantially catered towards fast fixes. If i see something that i want, i need to get it. it is as if we are addicted and until we get that so called "fix" it will bother us until it is ours.
Today's technology has become consumed with instant gratification. Therefore, i feel this experiment would definitely prove to be an epic failure if replicated today. For example, in earlier times, kids had to wait for food that is simply "warmed up" in the microwave to get their instant gratification of food fulfilled. Instant gratification has become very popular. An example would be the "like" button on facebook. Some people post a status on facebook just so they can get the instant gratification of someone so called "liking" it.
Similar to food being warmed up in the microwave now, parents also stop at fast food restaurants on their way home. It is fast, cheap, and easy. Giving instant gratification to both children and the adults. The parent doesn't have to go home and spend time cooking, and the children get the fast greasy food ready to eat in the car. What they dont think about is how bad it is for ou, health wise. Parents have become so lazy and money conscious that they take the easiest root to giving their children and yet themselves as well, the instant gratification. A gratifiying act, which ends up becoming a habbit and satisfying to both.

    You Can Shine !!

After watching the Pantene Pro V commercial, reactions can differ. One reaction can be considered towards the fact that there is a bait and switch that they use. The creators of the commercial create a sensitivity and sympathetic feeling towards the main girl. Giving viewers somewhat of a connection to her. Being that she is deaf, bullied, alone, and troubled. At the end of the commercial, they switch the connection towards the final point of the commercial, the product.

The annoying part of what the creators do, is the fact that they help the viewer build a connection with the character. Giving them a sense of grief for the young girl, but they also give a sense of relief and happiness when she fulfills her dream. This causes the viewer to feel that no matter what issues that may come their way, they can end up like her and fulfill their dream. In reality, the commercial ends up being somewhat fake. Thus giving viewers the feeling of disappointment. Maybe they can’t fulfill a dream, but no matter what, by using their product they can have hair similar to hers.

Unfortunately, this is the job of commercials. Advertisements are meant to make viewers believe things that aren’t always true. Convincing them that they too can have shiny hair, or whiter teeth, or even something like better health. It all comes down to false advertisement, and convincing consumers that they too can be like the characters in their commercials.
